I have since inherited the dresser.
It is old.
It tells stories.
I LOVE it.
It is looking a little dingy these days though. One drawer is broken, another is has a broken pull. It needs some TLC.
Nova has always inspired me with her DIY (Do It Yourself) style. She has the CUTEST house. Most of the stuff in her house is from thrift or antique stores and she has given it some love and made it new. SOOOOOO... It is my turn. :)
Next Saturday, I will be embarking on my first DIY project of my own. I have done plenty for and with others, never one by and for me. I am really looking forward to it.
I am going to remove the current knobs, fix the broken drawer, check all of the other drawers to see if they need reinforcement, sand down all drawers and the dresser, fill in the current holes on the large drawers and drill new holes for the new knobs, primer the dresser, paint it either blue or white, distress it, and then install the new knobs.
It's going to be a long day, but I can't wait to do it.
I will post before and after pictures.
Here are the knobs that I am dreaming of...
For the 3 Small Drawers:

For the 6 Large Drawers:
As much as I want them, I refuse to spend $200 on HARDWARE.I have a love/hate relationship with Anthropologie.
