I am oh so thankful for the families that have welcomed me into their homes and hearts.
Klingaman Family: when I moved to Arizona, B told me that his family was my family. He wasn't kidding. Mama and Papa K provided a much needed saf place in Arizona. Even after leaving Arizona, they have still been so good to me. I am beyond blessed by Mama, Papa, B, Katelynn, and Ems. What an amazingly loving and welcoming family.
The Harveys: Ever since high school, I have been spending both Thanksgiving and Christmas at the Harvey house. I always have a place to sit at their holiday meals, and any other meal throughout the year to be honest. Jim and Teresa have been second parents to me in so many ways. I am forever thankful for them. Even further, I am thankful that Kim, Kyle, and Cody also welcomed me in. I love the Harvey fam. So thankful. Papa Harv, Teres, Kimber, Kyle, and Co, THANK YOU!
The Knudsens: Kristi and I met our freshman year of college at SPU and have been friends ever since. I worked at a church that her dad was the pastor of, and am so thankful for that season. Craig and Karen have loved me even when I was hard to love. They even made it possible for me to continue my education when I wasn't sure how I was going to make it happen. As with the Harvey's, the whole Knudsen fam has welcomed me in. Being a pastor fam, Christmas is a very special day for just the fam... yet they invited me into that special day. Words can't express my gratitude. Craig, Karen, Kristi, Kelsey and Tyler, THANK YOU.
Page Fam: Ricky, Nova and Elisha, Thank you for always making me feel so at home at Casa Page. Thank you for bringing me in on the pajama tradition. Thank you for making me feel like I belong.- THANK YOU.
Freighbor/Neighbors: Jeanine, Kevin, Sammy, and Paige... Last year, Thanksgiving was tough. So many emotions were running so high. You all provided a sense of normalcy. Paige's freak out helped to take my mind off of everything else that was going on. It was just so nice to have a safe place when Mom and Clyde were on their cruise and the poop was hitting the fan. Thank you for being such amazing neighbors. - THANK YOU.
Maxin Fam: Mama Maxin, John, Heffer, and Ro, my Seattle family. I will never forget the Thanksgiving I spent with you all while I was living in Seattle. Thank you for opening your home to me. Thank you for letting me paint the hallway ha ha ha and for leaving it up for years to be admired. Thank you for letting me do COUNTLESS loads of laundry at your house. Thank you for the steak dinners. I know that I have a home in Seattle, and I am so thankful. - THANK YOU.
O'Connor Fam: MY Mo. Mo has been another parent ever since Jimmy and I were in Kindergarten together at Cabrillo Elementary. Mo helped me get ready for my prom and took me to countless NSync and Kelly Clarkson concerts. I have had every too many parties to count at The Scoreboard AKA The Family Bar, with Mo and Joe being the best hosts a girl can ask for. Jimmy, Bridget and Caitlin have been so sweet as to always welcome me in without hesitation. THANK YOU Mo and Joe and the rest of the O'Connor Fam.
The holidays are hard for me. Really hard. This holiday season is going to be particularly rough with it being the year anniversary of my dad dying and the first holiday since my sweet Grandpa died. Because of this, I am even more thankful for the families that have welcomed me into their homes and have made me feel like family.
